The Graduated Driver’s Program

If you have arrived at this page then you are an Illinois licensed driver under the age of 21 or have been determined to still be under the Graduated Driver’s Program in Illinois.  The Illinois Secretary of State has information on the Graduated Driver License program here.

To request supervision under the Graduated Driver’s Program you must complete a traffic safety school and submit proof of that completion along with your request if you are under the age of 18.  The Scott County Court utilizes the Traffic Safety program at Lewis and Clark Community College which can be accessed here.  The fee required for this program is separate from any fines assessed by the court and must be paid in accordance with the terms set forth by Lewis and Clark Community College.  After you have completed the traffic school and printed out proof of that completion, you must fill out the form here and bring it with you to court along with a parent or legal guardian.

If you are 18 or older and still in the Graduated Driver’s Program then you will fill out the form here and mail it to the office of the Scott County State’s Attorney.  Be aware that you are still subject to the requirements of the Graduated Driver’s Program.
